Home Energy Squad is a joint program offered by Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy and administered by Center for Energy and Environment to help customers in the Twin Cities reduce energy use and save money in their homes. During a Home Energy Squad visit, a team of energy experts evaluates energy saving opportunities in a customer’s home and installs materials to help you start saving money.

When the pandemic brought in-person home visits to a halt in 2020, the program quickly pivoted to online visits and consultations. This animated explainer video was used in an effort to market the new service. This was an ambitious project, requiring collaboration and involvement across several teams. Center for Energy and Environment’s Residential department provided accurate content, and helped develop the narrative. The team at Xcel and CenterPoint provided feedback and input as well. I served as the sole illustrator and animator.
